Requirements
The Student Centre is looking for students who are:
- At least 18 years of age
- Friendly & polite
- Efficient
- Hard-working
- Adaptable & able to work well under pressure
- Enthusiastic
Students must also have:
- Experience with handling cash
- Excellent communication skills
Duties
- Provide friendly, prompt, safe and accurate service to customers.
- Ensure minors are not receiving alcohol in any manner during the day or pub night.
- Collecting empty beer bottles, jugs and cups from the tables during each day.
- Ensure that their float and product are accounted for at the beginning and end of the night and that all voids are processed and all counts balance.
- Make every effort to ensure that intoxicated customers get home safely.
Hours
- The Student Centre recognizes that a student’s prime responsibility is to his/her studies. Pub nights run every Thursday night. Orientation Week for Student Centre Staff runs from Sunday, August 31 until Thursday, September 4.
- Anywhere from about 4 to 8 hours a week, except for Orientation Week which could be anywhere from about 20 to 30 hours.
Wage
- $7.60 per hour + tips
