Requirements
The Student Centre is looking for students who are:
- Outgoing
- Creative
- Personable
- Energetic
Students must also have:
- Their own catalog of music
- The ability to interact with an audience
- A strong passion for music
- An interest in a variety of different types of music
- The ability to scratch and mix music for a unique sound (only a plus!)
Duties
- Put together good mixes of music that appeal to the crowd on pub nights.
- Entertain and interact with the audience throughout pub nights.
- Take requests for music.
- Act as Master of Ceremonies to make announcements throughout pub nights about prizes, upcoming pub nights, etc.
Hours
- The Student Centre recognizes that a student’s prime responsibility is to his/her studies. Pub nights run every Thursday night. Orientation Week for Student Centre Staff runs from Sunday, August 31 until Thursday, September 4.
- About 6 hours a week, except for:
- Orientation Week which could be about 18 hours.
- Certain pub nights such as Semi Formals, Country Nights, etc.
Wage
- This will vary.
