  • to create a program, in conjunction with the Student Government Board, to coordinate all social events in order to maintain a constant social and interactive climate throughout the academic year
  • to research the expectations of the students in order to properly create a program suitable to the student body, including follow-up on all events, i.e. feedback from students, pub staff, entertainers and others who attended the event
  • to be responsible for organizing all social functions, such as:
    • researching bands, comedians, prizes, etc.
    • organizing live entertainment, theme, open mic nights and dj's. Please note: Working with the agents and dealing with contracts is the responsibility of the Business Manager.
    • arranging 91X advertising
    • buying prizes
    • booking accomodations for entertainers
    • purchasing hospitality rider items for entertainers
    • getting loaders and overseeing the load in
    • setting up the entertainers’ dressing room with hospitality rider items
    • dealing with the tour managers and entertainers throughout the event
    • encouraging student participation in events by distributing promotional materials and doing Residence promotions
    • liaising with the dj with regards to music selection plus announcements on promotions, upcoming events, prizes, etc.
    • preparing and distributing glow sticks
    • being the MC by making any announcements, distributing prizes, etc.

My Duties as an Executive Leader

  • to represent students by voicing their concerns and ideas at Student Government and College Committee meetings, and providing feedback on ways to improve Loyalist's academic programs, services and facilities
  • to attend and participate in bi-weekly Student Government Board meetings
  • to promote Student Government services, events and advocacy to students
  • to be a member of Student Government as an Executive member
  • to complete assigned responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • to check and respond to in person, phone, email and messages in a timely manner
