What does “bondable” mean?
If you are “bondable,” it means that you will pass a criminal background check. The concept of part-time staff bonding is really an insurance matter relating to the Student Government’s efforts to protect itself against wrongful acts committed by its staff.
Students who are hired to work in the Student Government will be required to complete a criminal background form before being paid.
What does “Work Study approved” mean?
Students who are hired to work in the Student Government will be required to complete a Work Study application before being paid. The application will involve completing a budget, outlining income and expenses for the upcoming semester. Through this process, students must demonstrate a financial need.
Work study approval will also be based on academics. New students must have an average of at least 60% per semester, with no course failures and must maintain full-time status. When will interviews begin?
Interviews will be held throughout the spring and summer as well as Sunday, September 5th. Only those chosen for an interview will be contacted.
What should I bring to an interview?
- Yourself and a great attitude! Relax and show us some personality and be yourself.
- Class schedule if you have it.
Will I be contacted after my interview if I’m not hired?
Unfortunately, only those chosen for a Student Government job will be contacted.
