Your feedback through past surveys lead to the following improvements to the 10/11 Student Handbook:

  • All full colour book, including the calendar pages, with a consistent graphic design throughout.
  • More durable covers and better binding, as the book can easily be folded in half.
  • Sticker tabs replaced with full colour, long-lasting Double-Sided Tabs bound right into the book.
  • Pagefinder made into a ruler.
  • Vertical date heading instead of horizontal on the Class Schedules.
  • Easier access to:
    • Class Schedules and Personal Directories which were moved to the front of the book
    • editorial information, as some of the content was organized more appropriately such as “College Hours,” etc. moving from the “Services” section to “Resources”
  • More writing space by:
    • adding more space between lines in the Personal Directories
    • eliminating “Monthly Goals” from Monthly Calendars
    • adding extra note pages and space in Weekly Calendars
    • removing one “Month At A Glance” in Weekly Calendars
  • Weekly Calendar pages enhanced by:
    • adding important College facts at the start of each week instead of generic tips
    • making date numbers bigger
    • only including events that are not likely to change and moving them to the bottom of each day
  • Half the editorial pages reduced by:
    • making photos smaller
    • transferring the majority of information in the “Resources” to the Student Portal
    • featuring Student Government events, contacts, services, websites, student spaces, etc. on tabs instead
  • More awareness of:
    • events which are featured on the monthly Double-Sided Tabs
    • support services on campus, as a new Student Success section was created
    • where to go to retrieve lost items, as “Lost & Found” information was added to the “College Hours” page
