Promotions Assistants
Requirements
The Student Centre is looking for students who are:
- Outgoing
- Personable
- Enthusiastic
- Hard-working
- Energetic
Students must also have excellent communication skills.
Please specify in your cover letter whether you will be living on campus in residence or off campus, as the Student Centre requires at least one Promotions Assistant who lives in Residence.
Duties
- Flyer Cafeteria and Student Centre tables and encourage student participation in Student Government events.
- Go door to door in Residence to let each apartment know about events and activities each week.
- Sell Canada’s Wonderland or Semi Formal tickets as required.
- Put up posters in Closed-in Bulletin Boards and poster cases around College.
- Advise us of any suggestions from students and yourself, i.e. bands, theme nights, creative advertising/promotion ideas, etc.
Hours
- The Student Centre recognizes that a student’s prime responsibility is to his/her studies. Pub nights run every Thursday night. Orientation Week for Student Centre Staff runs from Sunday, August 31 until Thursday, September 4.
- Anywhere from about 8 to 12 hours a week, except for Orientation Week which could be anywhere from about 24 to 36 hours.
Wage
- $8.75 per hour
